These pictures constitute the whole length of the experiment taken from the MIT’s Technology Review giving us the inside view of the exeriment about the scale and the capacity.
The picture below is that of the tunnel that ‘ll be used to channel the protons through.

Pictured below is the cross-sectional view of the channel which ‘d guide the protons, and the center holes represent the holes which channelise the protons that are said to be surrounded by superconducting metal cables via which a high power electric current flows that produces strong electro-magnetic fields which ‘d guide the protons through the channel and lead them to smash against each other at the velocity of light. The coolant, that is the Helium is sent via the bottom pipes to cool the high energy producing magnets.

The CMS(Compact Muon Solenoid) is one of LHC’s detectors and as the name indicates is to be used to detect muons.

The circles of silicon chips help detecting the location of the charged particles and in measuring their momentum.
