Hello Moto, Says Android

Motorola has been making some chiming noise over its Android based phone for quite some time now. After the announcement of Samsung and LG about the probable dates of their releases all eyes were on Moto. And motorola is in here not to disappoint us on the design front and we might well be treated to some niche form factor. According to the specs, it is said to sport an iPhone like Touch screen(In terms of the size), the G1-sque slide out QWERTY keyboard and it is rumored to be a social networking friendly hand set. It has tied up with such networking sites like Facebook and Myspace, though the parties involved deny to comment.

The handset is said to resemble its half-brother the Krave ZN4 and is predicted to be launched in the Q2 of FY ‘09. It not only shares the looks but also might be out at the same price which is around $150 with a 2 year contract.

Moto said in a press release statement “We’re excited about the innovation possibilities on Android and look forward to delivering great products in partnership with Google” and the community of developers known as the Open Handset Alliance that are working on the Android operating system.
