The stock market in every region is being taken on a bumpy ride. Companies right sizing (downsizing for us) themselves, cutting costs and the CXOs where X=E,S,F,O etc. breaking their heads to come up with the measures that would make them survive this recession like ambience. In all this mayhem, common man like you and me, must also try and zero in on things that save us our bucks. If you are looking to buy a laptop it might well make a considerable amont of hole in your pocket. The laptops come loaded with Linux or Windows OS naturally. What if you ‘d get a much richer experience at much lesser price. It gives all the experiences plus more. What about the umpteen of these smart phones making their debut every week. Smart phones and did someone just say the G1. There you are. The G1 comes loaded with the Android operating system that is developed on the Linux platform. And guess what, it is totally open source means it is free in the sense it doesn’t carry the 80′s definition of free, but it is really free of cost. You can tweak with it, can develop your own personalized apps for it and if you are interested you can even allow others to use your app, by putting it on the Android market. You ‘d be getting a better user experience than the laptop, given the kind of cool apps on offering for Android. Thanks to the ADC, the competition has thown some most exciting apps that no one ‘d think of about a year ago. Apps like Locale, Scan, Tunewiki, Life 360,Enkin (and the list goes on)  to name a few are just excellent that raise the bar for the mobile computing environment. And with WiMAX beckoning us, soon we can find a WiMAX powered G1, courtsey the HTC that pretty recently launched its Quartz in Russia. The Google apps naturally come free with Android which makes yourexperience much richer as the access ‘d be much hassle free than in any other environment. and then you have giants like Amazon coming up with the perks what more do you need. So, its time to dump your sickling laptop and port yourself to a much richer experience in Android that is in here to transform your mobile world. If Jeffrey Sharkey’s latest teaser on the iTunes Remote control is anything to go by, soon apps ‘d be developed that ‘d make the android powered device ala the Universal Remote where in you can literally doanything from everything. As the world is sinking into a virtual depression, I don’t see a time which is better than now to see more Android powered devices making their way into the  market. So, its a boon for someone where it is bane. I’d ‘nt be surprised or rather mind, if Google becomes the George Orwellsque dictator of terms with things like Android. This, guess is one of those products from their stable that is going to tumble down the history. As, it blows its trumpet on the scene of the industry that always sees the sun rising(as put by Nokia) it is gearing up with more and more arsenal to re-engineer the mobile market as a user-driven one rather than the Carrier-driven one. Its patent and everything just puts Google and by default Androids in a much stronger position than that was looked up by the arm-chaired critics. I’m really excited with the prospects the G1 brings to us in this season of turmoil and bailouts. Its time to bailout my old phone and invite G1 and when it is, is to be seen. For, the native guys did someone talk about a pre-release?

IT’S PI DAY!!!

421776308_8fd94395d01.jpgToday well is 3.14.08, if we take the first three digits it would quite inadvertently dig us into the most loved constant ∏ at least I love this constant for I try to associate this to most of the numbers that I see every day. I try to find the relation and that’s really sort of envisaging. Guess so!

This day just got into being to get children interested in Mathematics and was incepted by Larry Shaw in 1988. As the sound of the constant is something synonymous to the eatable pie this was pretty good an idea to create some interest in children. The first celebration was nothing more than a circular walk around the main hall of the museum ending at a big table of pies. That walk was used to illustrate the ratio that pi represents: the circumference of a circle divided by its diameter.

It is also called the Archimedes or Ludolph’s constant.

Nostalgia

Well the things are back to normal again with me just trying to sink myself into the same sort of routine that I was so rambunctiously used to, the same getting up late and the depending on the sort of the mood going online or on wire and all and then those sort of quiescent siestas and then a sort of favonian browsing and so on and so forth. I’m so used to this kind of an ordeal that really everytime I think of this, it just makes me to go a bit into a sort of warison if not to be precise and then I just get lost into one of those proselyte melodies that’ve started to pour in from nowhere and then all of a sudden these sort of neophytes take me into a Utopia and then the the things of nostalgia and then that sanguineous clad, without which a sort of syncategorematic thing flows upon. And then betwixt these things the umpteen number of page IQ on the blog. Well, well, well, these things are for sure not for the eternity and then in a few days my life’s gonna if not trying to be euphemistic become a bit acerbic. and then I might just think about those idyllic days that I used to have all for myself and then that sort of life full of virescent things, those sort of surreptitious stalkings from the garderobe, might be one of the most idyllic views ever and then trying to make good an escape the stalkings. When retaliated those corybantic celebrations from the other side, those are all the things in my nostalgia.

The Persistence Of Memory by Salvatire Dali

But then at some point the things get refluent and then you are just lost into your own avoirdupois and then guess the thought of being syncategorematic and …………

Life@

abstract life… Electronics, the branch that I opted four years ago and then very little did I know about it. But still I was fascinated enough to take up this beautiful field where in I expected to join a coterie of people who ‘d passionately pursue it and just galvanize the things with in. Nothing happened to say the least but I guess this is not the time for any rankling as self-cocooned in between the four walls of my room and as I write this just the thing that surfaces as some of my friends tend to rant me about doing some sort of justice to the field I chose so devoutly and as almost all of our guys end up caught in the wave of the bug called software. And if anyone can reckon a bug more dangerous than this! But then think of software and you’ll be seeing reels of green pastures and still few of my friends ask me about doing justice to my chosen field and I can’t deny them by answering I hate to think about this justice/injustice. And after all this what surfaces is the abstractness involved with in, the pulchritude of a thing this life is!

I know the time’s still ain’t ripe yet and not to end up as a sort of prolix pasquinade and not to sound gitty and with a swear that I’ll return to the chosen thing I sign off still trying to zero on the incumbent scheme of things. And if still any of my friends ask about the justice!!! Will They?

MADAME PRESIDENT

270117152_6af7f14c08.jpg So, finally a lady president for us the first time ever in the history of India after the independence. Where as one of the best presidents of India or to put it in other way might be the best president India ever had is now as he modestly puts it a common man. But to moot this point is Mr. Abdul Kalam an ordinary man like me. Well to put it plainly I guess even his worst enemy(if he has one) ‘d agree that he ain’t an ordinary one. But the thing is when Prathibha Patil though for records is the first ever woman prez of India no one would like to have a woman of no reputed political back ground in the highest office in the first instance. On the contrary, her opponent is a heavy weight and an admired statesman who ‘d be easily become the prez of India. But at last its UPA’s trump card that shone and Prathibha Patil has made it to the highest office. In what it seems that this was a clear vindication that Mrs. Sonia Gandhi herself was behind this win though its been said that it was the decision of Manmohan Singh. Guess its got something to do with the much controversial book of Desmond Morris in which he advocates that its better we ‘ve a female led government.

But then as taking recent allegations on Mr. Kalam that he was trying to be political and every attempt of his popularity being dismissed of as a result of some sort of gimmick is really ludicrous. In the country like India, where Bollywood stars are sort of demi-gods and a nation which is said to breathe cricket, Kalam is the only scientist who was and is highly inspirational. If anyone is gonna take up research he ‘ll be having some sort of inspiration from this man who has inspired and transpired much of the younger generation. And as he marches off into obscurity as he put it India must raise itself and try to fulfill his dream.
