This is the new gaming sensation from none other than the Big Guy of the Gaming industry: EA. Well, its kind of a becoming a god experience as one would get to create an entire species, from a single organism that you ‘d be creating and then go into its evolutionary stage and also muliply them and then go onto conquer the galaxiesgiving you a slight tinge into the Darwinian world. Sounds interesting eh!
Guess this is the most eagerly awaited game this year and with its release tomorrow the wait ‘s gonna end. Interesting pictures of the game have al ready started to make their rounds and also the EA’s tie ups with Youtube, Facebook and few of the web’s giants which ‘d help evolve the game. And also as the players get their hands on to the game it might get to evolve more as the player inputs come along which might pave to much improvements. The social networking angle of the game is also being ventured into and who knows this might soon become a cult. The game in fact resembles at least to a certain extent to a game that I played a year back though on the technology front the Spore is miles ahead. Once you go on with the game you’ll get to meet other species and even help them in combatting the aliens and all kinds of things.
Spore uses the technique called “Procedural Animation” which is kind of technology where in the organisms or the species that are created by the players get to do everything like they were being piloted haptically by the player like walking, drinking, picking things up. Though this ain’t the first game to use this procedural animation but it does take it to another level.
Wow! I want to have a go at it but you know parents censor I’ve gotta wait.
And guess what you can wear a T-shirt that sports the image of your creature. The EA guys have tied up with the Zazzle store to bring this xclusive stuff. Well that sounds interesting. But the pics are really something that pique anyone’s interest posted in the PCW.
