The last test match between India and England proved to be a dullard following frequent interruptions from the weather. The match was always heading towards a draw, in the most unlikely case being, iff any of the two teams succumbs to a tame innings, which was quite an unlikely event as well.

I don’t exactly remember when was I disappointed when the team lost. Yeah I do remember now, it was in Sri Lanka. The Test matches proved too heavy that we just ‘d ‘nt fathom the guile of Mendis and Murali. And that was a long time back. Now, look what we have here. A match [...]

India might win this series or not but this series will be remembered as the one which saw two of the legends of world cricket quit the international scene with a vow to never return. The two represented a phase that was responsible for the turnaround of the Indian cricket. They inspired millions in to [...]

October 22nd will never be an ordinary day in the history of India, as the nation gears up to send a Lunar probe. This is the fruit of the efforts of the visionary scientists of the ilk of Mr. Kasturirangan who pioneered the project in the late 90’s. And now its in to the final [...]

Never ever did I imagine this was coming. One of the heroes of Indian cricket, Sourav Chandidas Ganguly, the greatest captains this cricket frenzy nation has ever produced and once the face of Indian cricket has called it quits. Humiliated. Yes, guess that was the right reason. Not being selected for the Irani trophy, dropped [...]

They are at it again and it’s become a kind of a ritual for oldies like Geoff boycott who can’t just keep their swollen mouths shut. Any time Indias’ be gearing up for some series there is this build up to the series that whether the FAB four must retire or not. Its really sullying [...]

After two years of hard fought battles inside and outside our Prime minister at last succeeds in ending the nuclear drought for our country. With raising globalisation and filtering of more and more Global companies into India the energy requirements are reaching the sky and if the recent power crisis due to the lack of [...]

Very few handful of people might ‘ve thought that our team ‘d do so well against the Lankans in their own back yard and that too on the ground where they hold an ominous record of over 66%. Ask me and I’d say someone might wake me up from slumber any time. Well really I [...]

1947-48
One year into independence and India is still a young nation. Its still trying to gain some ground and make its mark on the international scene. A team of this still young nation sets off to Australia to play five test matches. The Australian side led by Sir Don Bradman nearly white washes [...]

Paul Collingwood, wouldn’t be the only one to have an assuaged expression on his face and when asked about what he thought about the latest buzz he promptly replied “Thank God for that.” This ‘d be quite the most natural reaction of any bowler, of any captain or for that matter [...]

The Next time Australians will be trying to break their world record of the maximum test wins they would honestly make sure they wouldn’t be pitting against India. Ricky Ponting and his team at the end of the day would just be pondering about what did they get wrong or was it India who were [...]
INDIA BUCKLES TO BUCKNOR AT SYDNEY

A slurry of opprobrious things came out of the second test at Sydney, not to under play the fact the way the other team played it. It was the question of integrity and sportsmanship and the real motto behind these sort of games was under threat. In the good old days, games were a [...]

No Sachin! No Saurav! No Dravid! India was just a team before the start of the tournament with little or literally no hopes atleast making it to the semis. Ask anyone who’s gonna win the World cup some said Australia, some were booing with South Africa, some with SriLanka and few were even betting [...]

60 years and still calling our beloved country young, with all the mighty achievements behind its back is quite ludicrous. We are leading the pack in almost all the spheres, be it IT or economy and we are a more matured nation contextually. We taught the world quite many of the things. We taught [...]

Actually I was anticipating a sort of different pack of these seven marvels. But except for few things which sprang up others weren’t for much of a surprise.
First things first everyone must be thankful to the Greek Scholar Antipater who was actually the architect behind this concept of having the seven marvels way [...]
